AnamcharaBooks: Holy Earth -- call for submissions

We are people of the Word—believers in the power of the Word to change the world. Use your words (and your images) to help our world rediscover the Earth's sacredness.

Anamchara Books is calling for submissions of written material (poetry, essays, short fiction), photography, or visual artwork for its new title, Holy Earth, scheduled for release in December 2011. All submissions should explore and illumine

. . . the sacredness of the Earth
. . . the ways in which God's mystery is revealed through the natural world
. . . our call as people of faith to care for our planet as we care for each other

In producing Holy Earth, Anamchara Books' goal is to deepen our awareness of the relationship between God, the Earth, and each other. Together, we can spread the word:

Our Earth is holy.

E-mail your work as a Word document attachment or a high-resolution JPG attachment to info@AnamcharaBooks.com, putting "Holy Earth Submission" in the subject line. Make sure to include contact information and your full name. Submissions must be your original work. Multiple submissions from a single contributor will be considered.

Prose submissions should be less than 2000 words.

Photography and artwork will be set on an 8.5 by 8.5 inch page.

Submission deadline: October 1, 2011.

All submissions will be reviewed by the Anamchara Books editorial staff. If we decide to include your submission in Holy Earth, you'll hear from us with a formal contract. All editorial decisions will be made by October 15, 2011.

All contributors whose submissions are selected for inclusion in Holy Earth, will receive a byline printed with their work within the book. Each contributor will also receive 2 free books and the option to buy additional books at 50% off the list price of $24.99.

Books will be distributed to bookstores and church groups throughout the United States and Canada
